Earthbound modernism

Project type

Primary Bedroom

Location

Woodford, London

Designed around the owners' vision for a warm, characterful retreat, this sophisticated main bedroom in Woodford London, balances rich tonal hues, layered textures, and carefully curated detailing to create a space that feels deeply personal. Inspired by mid-century modern design, the interior combines bold geometric pattern with tactile materials, bringing rhythm, depth, and quiet sophistication while reflecting the owners' individual style and lifestyle.

The striking Dune wallpaper became the foundation of the colour palette, seamlessly incorporating the owners' favourite zebra bedspread into a cohesive design scheme. Bespoke curtains in Design Guild fabric, a custom-built wardrobe featuring wallpaper inlays, and an integrated bespoke makeup area create a beautifully considered space tailored to the owners' daily routine. Every element has been designed to maximise both comfort and functionality while maintaining a refined, elegant aesthetic.

A thoughtful dialogue between vintage influences and contemporary design is expressed through carefully curated furnishings and the sculptural Cloud ceiling light, creating a harmonious balance between nostalgia and modern living. The result is a sophisticated main bedroom in Woodford that celebrates personality, comfort, and timeless design in equal measure.

A luxurious contemporary bedroom featuring a striking geometric feature wall in rich terracotta, black, and bronze tones, creating a dramatic focal point behind the bed. A sculptural sand wall light with globe bulbs provides warm ambient lighting, while blush pink curtains, layered bedding, and textured cushions soften the bold design. A floating bedside shelf and carefully curated accessories complete the elegant, boutique hotel-inspired interior.
